PESTS AND SERVICE FAQ

Q: Why won’t one treatment solve my insect problem?

A: Our homes are constantly under attack from many different pests throughout the year. You can choose to control your pest problem for a period of 30 days (one treatment) or yearly (regular program). By choosing one of our pest control programs, you are creating a “treated zone” around your Atlanta home; Creating and maintaining a treated zone around your home will prevent infestations and further pest control and termite problems. Since we are encroaching on their territory, they are constantly trying to invade our homes and reclaim their territory. Creating and maintaining a treated zone around your home will prevent infestations. Because the products used today do not have a long-lasting effect as they breakdown over time, it is important to maintain this protective barrier by enrolling one of our ongoing maintenance programs.

Q: Will the technician have to apply these materials in my home on each visit?

A: In most cases, when Atlanta-area customers call us for pest control service, pests have been observed in the home. Initially, we treat the interior, in conducive and active areas, along with our exterior service. We will treat your exterior home on each subsequent visit as a preventive measure. Materials used are applied in the most effective and efficient manner.

Q: Why do you have to put stations around my home for termite control? Isn’t injecting the liquid termiticide protection enough?

A: The stations we use are an added protection. By placing them strategically around your home and monitoring them regularly, we can detect and eliminate the termites before they reach your home. They can also be an early detection for attacks from other termite colonies looking for a new home in the Atlanta area.

Q: I’ve seen winged insects in my home. Do I have termites?

A: There are millions of winged insects in Atlanta and surrounding areas. We offer a no-cost inspection of your home to identify any potential problematic pests. Please do not hesitate to contact us for the free inspection/identification in any of our greater Atlanta markets.

Q: Why should I go on a program for pest control?

A: Our preventive approach keep pests out of your home year-round. Though you may not see them, insects are putting pressure on entering your home in all seasons.

Q: What is the difference between a flying ant and a termite swarmer?

A: The body of an ant will have a thin waist where the waist of a termite swarmer is thicker. Ants also have a small bend in their antennae and a termite’s antennae are straight and beady. An ant has two sets of wings, one smaller than the other. A termite’s two sets of wings are of equal length.
